Here at Lukestone Care Home, we honoured fathers and fatherhood with painting and music for Father’s Day on Sunday 18 June.
We made a ‘Happy Father’s Day’ banner which was painted by our residents in beautiful shades of blue and green and displayed on the wall, and soon the bunting and balloons filled our main lounge which made the environment really celebratory.
In the afternoon, talented signer Kevin Walsh came to perform and got us all up on our feet dancing with his classic 50s and 60s songs.
Kevin charmed all our ladies and gents watching him and swiftly got them smiling and singing. Many residents like Gillian, could not resist but move to the dance floor with the support of our staff as she wanted to dance with Mr Walsh! Great fun!
