On Friday 16 June, we took a group of our residents from Lukestone Care Home for a fun trip to an animal farm, Kent Life.
Our residents were excited to meet the variety of domestic animals being looked after. The farmyard included free-range livestock such as sheep, pigs, horses, donkeys, goats, alpacas, chickens, ducks, rabbits and Guinea pigs. We all enjoyed observing the lifestyle of these traditional farm animals.
While we were exploring the area, one of the rangers introduced us to a goat who loved being petted by our residents – we couldn’t believe how friendly some of the animals were to us!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this outing and we are looking forward to going back again in the future.
