We welcomed a group of entertainers in to Lukestone Care Home on Saturday 1 April called ‘Ian and the band’ to perform for our residents.
They were all skilled ukulele players and some of the group even played harmonicas in the middle of the songs.
They sang in perfect unison which made our lounge lively with music and dance. Marlene was the first to get up and spin around our Home with her classic moves which entertained all the other residents!
This motivated Mary to join her on the dance floor. Later, staff danced with our residents as the band performed.
Ian, our entertainer of the day, is the son of our dear resident Alan. This came as a surprise to Alan and made him very happy to find Ian singing and playing with the other entertainers! He was very happy when he greeted him and even danced with joy in his chair. Good times!
