On Sunday 9 April, Easter Sunday, our entire day at Lukestone Care Home was filled with plenty of chocolates for our residents!
Our Easter bunny delivered a chocolate egg to each of our residents, who were amused to see the bunny and very happy to get such a treat early in the morning. They hugged and blew kisses to the bunny who hopped from one resident to the other giving out gifts.
In the afternoon, our Team Lead Mihaela with Reetika brought out a trolley filled with an amazing spread of chocolate cakes, mousse, trifle and cupcakes prepared with care by our Head Chef Mandy and our kitchen team; there was something special for all our residents to enjoy, whatever their dietary needs.
When he saw the trolley with all the sweet delights, our resident Terrance asked us to thank the catering team for preparing everything and enjoyed tucking into a cupcake. Similarly, many of our residents in the lounge gathered around the trolley to look at all the fun-coloured eggs. We wished them a Happy Easter and let them choose a dessert to enjoy at tea time.
