On Monday 17 July, we read a ‘Garden in Pictures’ book with our Lukestone Care Home residents in our main lounge.
The book contained photographs of gardens, families, children, many familiar flowers and animals, along with a few quotations, as well as poetry.
Patricia really loved reading it with Linda, our Activity Champion, and she talked about her own experiences in her garden. Similarly for Gillian, each page was a delight as she could recall her children and family times in the outdoors.
Some of our ladies, including Betty and Violet, preferred to read the books by themselves and enjoyed perusing the interesting pages. A very relaxing afternoon!
