We celebrated Indian Day on Tuesday 11 July, to appreciate our differences while also fostering respect and open-mindedness towards the Indian culture at Lukestone Care Home.
On the day our staff dressed up in Sarees, Lehenga and Kurti in honour of traditional Indian wear and our very own Senior Carer Jharna gave a beautiful performance to classic Bollywood songs and decorated herself in a wonderful black Lehenga set.
Many of us joined in as the vibrant music played in our main lounge. Later, we brought in a tasting trolley full of Indian food for our residents, when they got to enjoy various tempting treats including curries and samosas.
We all had a fantastic day!
