In January we enjoyed a lovely trip to the park with some of our Lukestone Care Home residents as the weather got a bit warmer.
We also organised some weekly baking which our residents really engaged with and enjoyed, plus we’ve enjoyed giving our ladies of Lukestone some manicures as well as relaxing hand massages.
On Sunday 6 February we made biscuits together and cut out some fun shapes with our dough. There has also been a lot of preparation for Valentine’s Day; in our arts and crafts session we made some beautiful pink and purple hearts which we’ve used to make a beautiful display.
We’ve also made a ‘busy board’ which contains activities for our residents to take up themselves if they are interested; these include crosswords, puzzles and word searches.
And we had great fun creating a ‘pub style’ area in order to celebrate the Six Nations rugby this weekend! We offered our residents a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, snacks and entertainment whilst they cheered on their rugby team! Good times!
