We celebrated two special birthdays at Lukestone Care Home on Sunday 16 April, welcoming in singer Kevin Walsh to provide some fantastic entertainment.
Stanley’s family gathered to wish him a very happy 90th birthday and Hugh turned ’81 years young’ on the same day.
Our Assistant Chef Bhim and our Kitchen Team made two stunning birthday cakes for our residents, who were enjoying the performance put on by Kevin in our main lounge. Everyone gathered to sing and dance with Linda from our Activities Team and Mary, our beloved party girl! The pair called everyone to get to the dance floor!
After a fantastic show, Kevin sang the ‘Happy birthday’ song to both Stanley and Hugh, one after the other, and everyone joined in to wish them many happy returns.
We cut their cakes and everyone had their fill, as they continued to enjoy singing and dancing. What a joyful day of celebrations!
