Andrew the barber came to visit us at Lukestone Care Home on Monday 21 November to give our gents lovely fresh haircuts.
We started early in the morning with Andrew and he was so calm and patient with each of our gents, cheerfully chatting with them to make them comfortable. He played 40s and 50s music on the radio and many of our gents fell asleep during and after the experience – a good sign they were relaxed!
Andrew also gave wet towel shaves with a full view of the television during the World Cup football match between England and Iran! After every score, our residents and staff cheered on the national team and by the sixth goal all our gentlemen were handsomely tidied up and Andrew was done for the day!
Great job Andrew! … and a great football result too!!
