Swinging 60s
We all had such a fun day celebrating the 1960s here at Lukestone Care Home recently.
Two perfomers from Tickled Pink Productions visited in the morning and our residents enjoyed an amazing ‘Swinging 60s’ performance which they loved.
It was bright, fun and engaging – our ladies and gents love live performances and the actors were amazing. All our residents and staff dressed up in 60s wigs and clothes and loved dancing to the 60s music. We can’t wait for Tickled Pink to come back!
In the afternoon, we enjoyed 1960s themed activities including colouring, quizzes and more.
Such a colourful day of music and fun!
Science experiments
On Tuesday 5 July our residents enjoyed doing some science experiments and made lava lamps with our Recreation and Well-Being staff.
Our ladies and gents were very keen to get involved and helped pour in the food colouring, water and oil into the containers.
They also enjoyed looking at our little side experiments, and were very intrigued by what they were and how they worked.
We can’t wait to do more experiments at Lukestone in the future!
