Afternoon tea
On Saturday 9 August, a group of our Lukestone Care Home residents and some of their relatives gathered in our garden to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea in the summer sunshine. Tables were set with our china tea service, creating a touch of style for the occasion.
Our tea trolley made its way outside, serving freshly brewed tea alongside a tempting spread of delicious scones and iced cupcakes. It was a lovely chance for everyone to relax, chat, and savour a summer afternoon together.
Many happy returns!
Midweek brought another happy occasion as we celebrated Maurice’s 81st birthday on Wednesday. Our Carers and Nurses gathered to mark the day, presenting Maurice with a special celebration cake that he was delighted with. Our team made sure he felt truly special, with plenty of well-wishes and moments to remember.
Sensory companion
A soft, interactive toy bunny has won the hearts of our ladies recently; they have been enjoying the tactile comfort of stroking its plush fur, and enjoying watching it move – a gentle sensory experience that has brought a lot of joy.
