Our lovely residents at Lukestone Care Home had a great time celebrating ‘International Talk Like a Pirate Day’ on Friday 19 September. Our ladies, gents and team members really got into the spirit of things by wearing pirate hats and costumes, and talking like pirates together, “Ooo-aarrr, me hearties!”
Lively pirate songs filled our Home and soon had some of our residents up dancing with our team, while others enjoyed watching the fun unfold. In the afternoon, we settled in our lounge for a showing of ‘The Pirate of Tortuga‘, which was the perfect way to round off the day.
It was a fantastic celebration, full of energy and plenty of pirate cheer!
