Last week we celebrated ‘National Read a Book Day’ on Tuesday 6 September at Lukestone Care Home, when we encouraged our residents to read as we brought out the Weekly Sparkle along with other articles of interest.
We exercised our brains with some reading-related activities including ‘Finish the Proverbs‘ and a book quiz.
Similarly, ‘World Literacy Day‘ was on Thursday 8 September when we dug out old tales to share with our ladies and gents.
After our story telling session was over, everybody enjoyed watching ‘Tom and Jerry‘ on the television and then reminiscing about old cartoons and stories.
