We were proud to host our fabulous Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Event on Friday 26 September. In the lead-up to the day, our wonderful residents joined in by helping to create green pom-pom decorations and a large display sign, which added a homemade touch to the occasion.
On the day itself, we served a tempting selection of cakes and bakes. Our talented Head Chef, Bhim, prepared beautifully decorated cupcakes with Macmillan-themed toppings, while our colleague Ellie kindly made a delicious chocolate cake to share.
Our families joined us for the event and admired the beautifully themed decorations in our lounge while enjoying plenty of coffee, cake, and conversation. To make the day even sweeter, we provided takeaway boxes so everyone could take a treat home to enjoy later. Adding to the atmosphere, we were delighted to welcome singer Cheryl in the afternoon. Her wonderful performance soon had everyone singing, clapping, and dancing along, creating a joyful party spirit.
It was a truly successful day, with our residents, families, and team members all coming together to share chats, music, and of course a sweet treat (or two!). A heartfelt thank you to Bhim and Ellie for their delicious cakes, and to everyone who supported us in raising money for such an important cause.
