As part of our virtual Nellsar mini cruise, we enjoyed visiting Egypt with our residents at Lukestone Care Home.
Egypt is very famous for its ancient civilisation and the monuments of the majestic Pharaohs, such as the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, the GEM (The Grand Egyptian Museum), Sakkara and Dahshur; we wanted to give our residents a real Egyptian experience, so we decorated our Home with themed decorations.
Our Chef Bhim baked a delicious Basbousa (an Egyptian semolina cake) and we also proved our Egyptian dancing skills are up to date!
We made our own Pharaohs and continued to learn about the culture, reminiscing with drawing and painting.
