On Sunday 20 July, our lovely Lukestone Care Home resident Dorothy attended a wonderful afternoon at Abby’s Wishing Hearts summer tea party. This special event brought together residents and team members from both Lukestone and our sister Home Lulworth, who shared a minibus for the outing.
Dorothy was accompanied by our team member Shristi, and to her delight, her good friend Angela also joined in the celebration, making the day even more special.
The venue was beautifully set up for a traditional tea party, with a delicious spread of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. There was a joyful atmosphere throughout the afternoon, with great music and friendly conversations. One of the highlights of the day was a visit from Martin Cox, the Mayor of Maidstone, who kindly came along to support the event. Dorothy was thrilled to meet him and enjoyed a lovely chat during the party.
She returned home with a thoughtful little gift and a big smile, having had a truly memorable time. What a heartwarming day. A big thank you to everyone who made this Wishing Hearts event so special.
