Tickled Pink
This year at Lukestone Care Home we have welcomed a diversity of entertainers to delight our residents.
We all know the importance of our residents’ physical and mental well-being, particularly those living with dementia, and having good times, laughing and reminiscing through songs and music, or dancing, are all so positive for mental health. Watching a play and being part of it, can make residents feel uplifted and useful, and that can bring so much happiness.
Tickled Pink Productions have performed four shows for us at Lukestone this year, being with us through all the seasons and key events such as King Charles’ Coronation.
In December, the Tickled Pink actors did a fantastic job engaging our residents and getting us in a Christmassy mood with their fantastically festive show – huge thanks to them for such a super time!
Christmas Day celebrations
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day at Lukestone, with our dining room decked in festive decoration and a beautiful Christmas dinner, cooked by our Chef Bhim.
We had a lovely coffee morning with tasty cakes and also welcomed Santa who came bearing gifts.
In the afternoon we had fun with our Christmas props taking photos and having fun!
