On Thursday 17 August we were excited to have a visit from Zoolab at Lukestone Care Home, who provide a fully educational and interactive experience with snails, frogs, cockroaches, gerbils and snakes.
Our residents and staff were interested and curious to have these little ‘friends’ with us and learn about their origins and life.
Interaction with animals is very good for our wellbeing and in this case a good way to reminisce too. We had the opportunity to discover facts such as the corn snake has the scientific name ‘pantheropis gutatus‘, its life span is 6-8 years and its colour depends on its habitat, as it provides camouflage.
We proved we were courageous as we were brave enough to pet these interesting creatures!
