We enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day here at Lukestone Care Home on Friday 25 July – an afternoon bursting with fun and spirit! Our residents, relatives, and team members all got involved in the action, taking part in a series of light-hearted events that brought out everyone’s playful side.
Events included the classic egg and spoon race, a lively wheelchair relay, the always-popular tin can alley, and a hilarious three-legged race featuring team members and family members joining forces! Our garden was alive with energy, and the sunny weather made the day even more vibrant. We added extra cheer with sports-themed backdrops and colourful table decorations, creating the perfect setting for the afternoon’s festivities.
To keep everyone cool and refreshed, cupcakes and ice lollies were served and thoroughly enjoyed by all. There were big smiles as participants received medals for taking part, celebrating the spirit of fun and friendly competition.
It was a truly engaging afternoon that brought everyone together. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made our Sports Day such a success!
