Our residents marked Remembrance Day at Lukestone Care Home by painting poppies for our special display which also featured Union Jack flags, soldier imagery and words to evoke our thoughts of Remembrance – heroes, respect, sacrifice and tribute.
We started the day with a Church Service via Skype with our local vicar Elizabeth, which was very moving and included a two minute silence.
In the afternoon, our ladies and gents enjoyed an afternoon tea, with decorated cupcakes and a wartime tunes sing-along.
It was a very memorable day for us all at our Home.
