On Monday 28 November here at Lukestone Care Home, we celebrated Betty’s 96th birthday.
She enjoyed an outing in the morning with her family to celebrate and later in the evening our staff gathered to wish her a very happy birthday.
Our Assistant Chef Bhim made a delicious celebration cake for her, which she asked to share with all our residents at supper time.
Betty received flowers and a birthday card from her relatives which made her reminisce; as she held the flowers in her arms, she became emotional, thanking us for delivering them to her and giving us a heartwarming smile for a birthday picture.
Many happy returns Betty!
