After the success of the Nellsar Cruise at the start of this year, when we enjoyed armchair travel to Thailand, Greece and South Africa, we decided to visit one more country here at Lukestone Care Home – delightful Nepal.
The country of Mount Everest and where Buddha was born, we enjoyed music and laughter as we travelled to this beautiful destination. Our lovely Nepali team members performed a wonderful dance for our residents in their cultural dress. Lots of people joined in, including family members and some of our ladies and gents.
We dressed our main lounge in decorations and our team members from Nepal brought lots of items to show to our residents. It was all new for our residents and they learnt lots of interesting facts and had a great time, including sampling some delicious Nepali food made by our Chef Bhim.
