On Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 December, our staff at Lukestone Care Home enjoyed a special visit from Mother Christmas and Christmas Elf and were thrilled when their Secret Santa presents were delivered to our main lounge.
The main event was on Tuesday, when our residents were cheering and clapping as they watched out team open their presents. All our staff were excited when they opened their presents, not knowing who they were from.
Linda from our Activity Team loved getting into the Christmas spirit and dressing up and we all gathered in the lounge so that the presents could be handed out by Mother Christmas. Resident Mary commented that she liked the Mother Christmas outfit Linda was wearing and a lot of residents were admiring her and smiling.
Brian was surprised when he saw how many presents Linda had fitted into the Santa sack! There was a wonderful Christmas ambience in the room, making it warm and cosy for everyone.
On the following day, Linda had an Elf hat on and carried her present sack to the dining room, where gifts were delivered to the rest of our staff.
What a magical time with lots of smiling faces!
