On Wednesday 8 May we celebrated VE Day in style here at Lukestone Care Home.
There were plenty of Union Jack flags decorating our Home and our residents looked great in their patriotic hats too! Some of our team members also dressed up in wartime clothes to really bring the celebrations alive.
The highlight of the day was our street party when our team and residents had fun waving their flags, singing along and reminiscing with wartime songs and photos from the war. We served a delicious teatime buffet, featuring traditional trifle which went down a treat.
What a wonderful day!
