Here at Lukestone Care Home we have many special friendships between our staff and residents which we enjoyed celebrating throughout the day on Sunday 31 July – National Friendship Day.
Notable friendships in our Home include Betty and Violet, as well as Ann and Ellen. Both pairs enjoy spending their days together having tea, chatting and participating in activities.
It is obvious that our friends at Lukestone have very special and beautiful bonds which we love to see them nurture every day.
To celebrate the day, our residents enjoyed making cards for each other – thanking the other one for their friendship and to show their appreciation; there were some beautiful cards made by our residents which we put in their rooms for them to enjoy.
Later, we all enjoyed a sing-along with friendship songs, including ‘Stand By Me’.
It was a truly beautiful day
