International Women’s Day
Our lovely Lukestone Care Home residents crafted handmade cards for our team members for International Women’s Day this month.
They really appreciate all our team members – how they make them smile and are always there for them. They thanked all the team for making their lives brighter each day and we thanked all the women at our Home for making Lukestone a wonderful place for our ladies and gents, and working as a family. Thank you to all our fabulous ladies!
Flower arranging
We enjoyed a flower arranging session together recently when our residents selected the flowers they thought would complement each other, and we helped to put them together into vases. Everyone loved the scent of the flowers and made something unique.
Flower arranging provides such a soothing and calming experience; the gentle act of selecting, cutting and arranging blooms can help reduce stress. The vibrant colours and scents of the flowers provide a truly multi-sensory experience which promotes mindfulness and relaxation.
