On Thursday 17 July, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Maple, our gentle and affectionate Therapy Dog, who’s a real favourite here at Lukestone Care Home. Maple is lovingly cared for by her owner Amy, a wonderful lady who generously volunteers her time to visit us.
Amy and Maple make a fantastic team, bringing joy, comfort, and companionship to our residents whenever they’re able to pop in, especially as they live just nearby.
Our residents adore Maple and she loves coming in to see us too! She’s calm, friendly, and has a special way of brightening everyone’s day. She loves sitting on laps, resting gently on beds, and giving our residents affection and kisses. The connection she shares with them is truly heartwarming.
We’re so grateful to Amy and Maple for the happiness they bring to our Home. We always look forward to their visits and can’t wait to welcome them back again soon.
