Our lovely Lukestone Care Home residents enjoyed a beautiful trip to Herne Bay together on Thursday 12 June, under wonderful blue skies.
We reached the seafront around midday for lunch, when our ladies and gents tucked into generous portions of fish and chips, followed by ice cream sundaes for dessert. There were so many delicious ice cream flavours to choose from, with cherry proving the most popular. Live music was playing as we enjoyed our meal, and we all danced for a while and enjoyed the songs.
Our residents loved sitting on the beachside and watching the water activities going on. The view of the sea was stunning and it was such perfect weather with a refreshing breeze. We took a walk around the pier and strolled around the shops, and there were people fishing off the pier who showed us the crabs they had caught.
Everyone had a really super time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.
