Our lovely Lukestone Care Home residents cruised to Thailand last week as part of our Nellsar mini cruise.
They enjoyed crafting giant elephants and dragons, participating in reminiscing about Thailand, Thai food tasting, Thai dancing, and even a trip to the beach with nice fruits and drinks.
Our residents also celebrated ‘Loy Krathong’ which is a festival of lights in Thailand where they float decorative baskets on rivers. We made colourful bowls decorated with flowers, with floating lotus and candles, and explained about the rituals to our residents.
Everyone had a lovely week in Thailand with family members, friends and relatives enjoying taking part.
