On Friday 1 November we embraced celebrating autumn with all its crops and lovely colours of nature here at Lukestone Care Home.
Our residents took on the challenge of being Chefs for a day, to cook a delicious leak and potato soup. It was a lovely sensory activity as they were able to touch and smell the vegetables, and admire their colours, and while they were chopping the veggies they also enjoyed lovely fresh fruits such as grapes, strawberries and apples.
Our team members Mihaela and Linda wore orange hats to match the autumnal colour theme. Welcome to cosy November!
