In May, we all gathered together at Lukestone Care Home – our team members, residents and their loved ones – and presented our video for the ‘Nellsarvision Song Contest‘.
We chose to sing ‘Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)’ by Doris Day, welcoming a 50s atmosphere by decorating our Home and dressing up in the fashion of the era.
It’s no secret that music brings people together and has so many benefits, and we love embracing and engaging everyone at Lukestone. We are noticing that music has such a positive impact on our residents’ wellbeing, improving their concentration, memory and speech.
This photo is after filming for our video. We gave it our best to enjoy this lovely experience and the result was amazing as we won second place, which we were all delighted with!
