Our lovely residents at Lukestone Care Home spent a joyful day baking cupcakes together on Thursday 21 August. Everyone joined in with preparing the mixture, stirring and whisking with enthusiasm, and enjoying the wonderful sensory experience of baking.
In the afternoon, our Home was filled with the delicious smell of fresh cakes as our residents gathered for afternoon tea. The cupcakes were beautifully topped with cream and decorated with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, making them look as good as they tasted.
We shared some of the homemade treats with our team members on duty, who were delighted to join in the enjoyment. It was a lovely activity that brought plenty of smiles and conversation – and of course, everyone loved both making and tasting the cupcakes!
