Here at Lukestone Care Home we have a ‘Come Dine with Me’ experience every day. This activity engages our lovely residents in a feeling of eating in a restaurant, and they can invite their family members to join them.
A family member of our ‘Resident of the Day‘ can have a complimentary meal with their loved one, whilst other residents’ relatives can join us too for a small meal charge.
Our residents are offered soft drinks, or a non-alcoholic beer of their choice, and have a meaningful mealtime with their loved ones in our dining room, with a beautiful ambiance and lovely music. They are offered tea and coffee after their meal as they would be in a restaurant setting.
This activity brightens our residents’ mood and supports their emotional well-being; it’s wonderful to see loved ones socialising over a lovely meal together.
