On Thursday 22 July our residents at Lukestone Care Home arrived in the sunny Caribbean, as part of our virtual Nellsar Cruise!
We started the day by welcoming our passengers on board and then presenting some fascinating facts about the Caribbean.
We all helped to decorate our garden to look like one of the Islands; we had a surfing club, swimming pool and cocktail bar no less!
We played beach ball and had competitive games such as bean bag tossing and throwing a hoop on the arms of an inflatable octopus, which was the most fun!
The hot day, colourful decorations and tropical music created a fantastic Caribbean atmosphere.
We had many tropical fruits and snacks to try and a delicious Caribbean fruit curry, made and served for lunch by our Chef Mandy.
We relaxed and drank cocktails with Regge and happy Jamaican songs in the background during the afternoon – we all had a lovely time, full of fun!
