Our residents at Lukestone Care Home came together for a baking day on Wednesday 6 June.
We decided to try a butter cake recipe. A butter cake uses butter as one of its main ingredients and is considered one of the quintessential cakes in American baking.
Our ladies and gents took turns to blend the ingredients and ready the cake for the oven.
They were excited to sample it with their afternoon tea – it was delicious!
Everyone very much enjoy baking together and we look forward to trying more recipes soon.
